Over 50 Taus gather to network and hear Cary McMillan ’80 at Chicago Club

cmacOn April 2, 2014 over 50 ATO’s gathered to network and to hear Cary McMillan ’80 talk about some of the fascinating opportunities and experiences that he’s had across a successful career spanning over 30 years. Highlights included Cary recognizing Larry Austermiller ’61 for recruiting him to his first job at Arthur Andersen and Rich Clausing ’77 for “reaching down into the pool of young accountants” at Andersen for key early assignments in the consumer goods industry and later roles as lead partner on Consolidated Foods which led to Sara Lee and ultimately positions at Sara Lee as CFO and CEO of Sara Lee Branded Apparel. Thanks to Cary for an awesome presentation AND for hosting us at the beautiful and prestigious Chicago Club!!

Bob Vogele ’50 was a surprise attendee and I’ve heard kept his table entertained with some great stories from back in the 50’s. John Stacey and Ron Bess both ‘68’s also attended representing the 60’s. We also had a contingent of our ATO Brothers from ISU led by Kevin Petschow ’78, former ATO National Board Member.

These initial networking lunches have been a lot of fun and we hope even more of you will join in the future.

Spread the love. Share this post!
