Our Gamma Zeta undergrads went into the Fall semester determined to make a significant improvement in academic performance. They set a goal to finish above fraternity and university men’s averages and combined with alumni support put several programs in place to help. Gamma Zeta Undergrads Practice Interviewing Skills on Alumni
On Wednesday, January 15, ATO alumni sponsored a Mock Interview Day at the Illini Center in Chicago to give ATO undergrads an opportunity to practice their interviewing skills. Sixteen undergrads put on their best suits and ties, shined their shoes and each got an opportunity to meet and interview with two alumni. Each meeting consisted of a thirty minute interview followed by a fifteen minute feedback session.
Gamma Zeta Scholarship Winners Announced at Homecoming Ceremony at Chapter House
Gamma Zeta has 7 named scholarships with an endowment of nearly $500,000 and awards of nearly $20,000 each year. This represents the 2nd largest endowment of any ATO chapter in the country. Since the first of this group of scholarships were first awarded, Gamma Zeta members have received over $130,000. Each scholarship has slightly different criteria but are primarily based upon academics, community service and leadership. The Heldman Scholarship also recognizes non-varsity athletes, Clausing and Timson are focused on accounting/finance/business majors. The Sinnock Scholarship is targeted towards a Gamma Zeta going to graduate school. One of the Simonds scholarships is designed to fund participation in the ATO summer Leadershape education program.
