We kicked off the 1st Annual ATO Gamma Zeta NCAA March Madness Tournament Pool in 2014 with 32 entries and a winner’s pot of $400. It took the total point tiebreaker to separate Frank Kulze ’75 from Andrew Selby ’10 as the winner. Here were our money winners:
- Frank Kulze ’75 – $200
- Andrew Selby ‘10 – $120
- Jim McGuffin ’96 – $80
Thanks also to all who participated. In addition, we raised nearly $400 for the restoration of the historic Gamma Zeta Bechstein Grand Piano. It was a fun tourney.
Just a quick head’s up regarding next year… Doug Altenberger ’86, former Illini Basketball Captain and Big Ten Basketball analyst has agreed to speak at an ATO Gamma Zeta lunch on the Monday after selection Sunday to give us all his tournament analysis, picks and tips. Hopefully, we’ll have the Illini to cheer on as part of the NCAA action.
